State Secretary for Kosovo-Metohija Oliver Ivanovic said that the Serbian government and the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija have rejected the document prepared by EU special representative in Kosovo-Metohija Peter Feith "Strategy for the North of Kosovo" and do not consider it valid.

In an interview with International Radio Serbia, Ivanovic said that Feith did not inform either the EU or any other institution regarding this document.

The only link between the EU and the document is that Feith actually holds two functions – being a special representative of the High Commissioner for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU and the head of the International Civilian Office in Pristina, which is supposed to implement the rejected plan by Martti Ahtisaari, said Ivanovic.

He recalled that the office consists of representatives of 24 countries, of which 22 recognised the unilateral independence of Kosovo.

Ivanovic said that it is assumed that Feith made this plan based on an agreement with Kosovo Albanians, in order to allow them to infiltrate into the north of Kosovo-Metohija and take full control over it.

This would be disastrous for the remaining Serbs in northern Kosovo-Metohija. I cannot say that it is much easier for those who live south of the Ibar River, noted Ivanovic.

Feith must realise that these adventures of his in the form of a plan can only bring tension to the north of the province, Ivanovic warned.
