Serbian national news agency Tanjug and the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday, according to which Tanjug took on the obligation to engage around 30 journalism students from cities of southeastern Serbia.

The agreement was signed by Tanjug's Director and Editor-in-Chief Branka Djukic and Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis Dr Momcilo Stojkovic.

Djukic said that Tanjug wishes to be present in every city and town in Serbia and that every city and town in Serbia be present in Tanjug's service.

“I am sure that this agreement will help fulfill our goal and desire, and we deeply appreciate the fact that the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Philosophy offered us a chance to have young people who would enrich our service,” Djukic said.

Stojkovic said that the agreement with Tanjug is of the utmost importance for the faculty and its journalism department and that it will be of benefit to Nis and the related part of Serbia, and also to the general public.
