French FM Kouchner to meet with Serbian officials on March 1

In Belgrade on March 1, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner will meet with Serbian top officials to discuss European integrations, the enhancement of bilateral cooperation and the issue of Kosovo.
It was announced that Kouchner is to see Serbian President Boris Tadic, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integrations Bozidar Djelic, and Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic.
The main topics they will cover will include the intensifying of bilateral relations, European integrations and France's engagement in the development of the entire region, as well as the improvement of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
After Belgrade, Kouchner will go to Pristina, where he will on March 2 meet with Kosovo officials and international community representatives.
The focus of the talks will be European integration, as well as the development of cooperation between regional countries. which is of a joint interest for the entire Western Balkans.
"Whatever the differences between Serbia and Kosovo are, there are domains where these countries can and need to reach an agreement, especially in terms of issues related to the police, judiciary and customs, all with the help of the EULEX mission," it was stated in Paris before Kouchner's visit.
While in Belgrade, he will also bring up the intensifying of bilateral relations within a draft French-Serbian agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation.
He will also pay his respects and lay a wreath on the tomb of Zoran Djindjic, the first democratic prime minister of Serbia, who was assassinated in 2003.
