The draft resolution Serbia has submitted to the U.N. GA after the ICJ gave its advisory opinion on the unilaterally declared independence by Kosovo will be included in the agenda of the UN GA session scheduled for September 9, it was confirmed at the Serbian mission at the UN.

Serbia submitted its draft resolution on July 28 in order for the UN GA to discuss it before any other, in case other draft resolutions on the same issue get submitted.

According to the procedure, adoption of the first submitted resolution would mean immediate rejection of all other proposals. So far, not other resolution has been submitted, Tanjug learned.

The resolution will be discussed on September 9, but there is a possibility of its rescheduling for September 7 or 8, Tanjug learned.

On July 22, the ICJ evaluated that the unilaterally declared independence by Kosovo's provisional government is not contrary to international law, which does not forbid declarations.
