The Slovenian parliament on Oct. 20 ratified the EU and Serbia Stabilization and Association Agreement.

During his visit to Ljubljana, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said that because of the ratification Oct. 20 is important for ties between Serbia and Slovenia.

Jeremic's Slovenian counterpart Samuel Zbogar said he was happy that the ratification had taken place during Jeremic's visit.

At a meeting in Luxembourg on Oct. 25, EU foreign ministers are expected to give the go-ahead to forwarding Serbia's EU membership application to the European Commission.
