Serbian Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic on Thursday stated that Serbia needs investments worth between three and four billion euros in 2011 in order to accelerate its economic growth.
In view of the results of Serbia's real sector this year and the discipline the government and real sector have demonstrated, I believe that such a level of investments is sustainable, provided political and macroeconomic stability are maintained, which I also believe is possible, Milosavljevic told journalists at a conference on protection of intellectual property rights.
Milosavljevic underscored that major investments will be made in Serbia after a selloff of Telekom Srbija next year, adding that half of the expected funds will be from the selloff.
He also expects some investments in the areas of energy supply, primarily oil industry, tourism and industry in general to be completed.
