The president of the Serbian National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, Rasim Ljajic, announced that he would ask of the Tribunal on Monday to launch proceedings against former UNMIK Head Soren Jessen Petersen and other officials that obstructed the investigation into traffic in human organs in Kosovo.

They were aware of all the suspicions, but did nothing to verify them and to initiate proceedings – on the contrary, they did everything to hush up the whole thing and prevent witnesses from testifying to the committed crimes, said Ljajic.

He said the Serbian authorities would ask of the international community, which has essential power in Kosovo, to finally take responsibility.

The Hague Tribunal cannot be involved in the case any more because all the new indictments have already been issued, but has enough reasons to launch proceedings against all who obstructed the investigation, he said.
