Sandzak Mufti Muamer Zukorlic has warned that Belgrade's ignorant behavior could make Sandzak into "a new Kosovo."

"If political messages from the top constantly reveal a distrust of us, then it is very difficult to establish stability," Zukorlic told for Novi Sad daily Dnevnik.

"Such behavior increases the chances of Sandzak turning into a new Kosovo. It's the same thing that Milosevic did in Kosovo," he added.

Zukorlic also accused OSCE mission chief in Serbia Dimitrios Kypreos of bias in connection with the appointment of the Bosniak National Council, adding that, although he had nothing against the OSCE as an organization, Kypreos "is an individual whose acts are entirely in opposition to the OSCE's principles."
