A delegation of the Chinese province of Henan visited Monday the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) where they were acquainted with Serbia's production capabilities and asked to invest in Serbia on favorable terms, the PKS published on its website.

PKS Vice President Mihailo Vesovic informed the Chinese delegation about the overall situation in Serbia, investment opportunities, priorities and government measures aimed at attracting foreign investors.
He pointed out that investments in energy, infrastructure and agriculture will be a priority in the next five to seven years, and added that Serbia will be privatizing state-owned companies.
Assistant Economy Minister Jelena Marjanovic said that state institutions in Serbia pay special attention to cooperation with China, and are looking for means of more efficient cooperation between the two countries.
Secretary of the PKS Agriculture and Food Industry Association Milan Prostran informed the guests from China about the state of Serbia's agriculture industry, stressing that 90 percent is in private hands, while 300,000 hectares remain state-owned.
Advisor with the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) Goran Radisavljevic said that the Serbian economy is recovering and urged Chinese businessmen to invest in Serbia on very favorable terms.
Henan is China's second largest province by population size with close 100 million people, and fifth in terms of economic development.
The Chinese delegation was headed by Deputy Chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the Henan province Gong Liqun.
