Opening of workshop “Green economy and sustainable production and consumption - the experience and good practices"

The two-day event will gather representatives of relevant public authorities, business sector, citizens’ associations and other interested parties from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania and Serbia, as well as UNEP experts.

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Bojan Djuric and President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Milos Bugarin will open a two-day workshop “Green economy and sustainable production and consumption - the experience and good practices" at 13.00 on 14 April at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Resavska 13.

The workshop is being organised by the relevant ministry and the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, in cooperation with the Croatian Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Construction and in partnership with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

The two-day event will gather representatives of relevant public authorities, business sector, citizens’ associations and other interested parties from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania and Serbia, as well as UNEP experts.

The results of the regional workshop will be presented at the upcoming 19th session of the UN Division for Sustainable Development in New York and the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro in 2012.
