One and a half million people were registered in the first ten days of the census in Kosovo, the Kosovo statistical office announced Tuesday.

One and a half million people were registered in the first ten days of the census in Kosovo, the Kosovo statistical office announced Tuesday. Executive director of the statistical office Ibrahim Sabani said at a news conference Tuesday that the census will be completed by April 15.

As far as northern Kosovo where the census has not started, Sabani said that the Kosovo institutions are looking for a solution in cooperation with international organizations.

According to the Pristina media, the population and housing census in northern Kosovo could be held in May, if agreement is reached. The census would be conducted by international census takers from UNOPS.
