Kolundzija: MPs to discuss funding of parties on May 5

Kolundzija told Tanjug that the Serbian parliament's next sitting will be scheduled for May 5, when the parliament will also consider the amendments to the Law on Election of MPs, which will, among other things, abolish blank resignations.

"If the government today adopts the bill on the funding of political activities and forwards it to the parliament in a summary procedure, we will inlcude it in the agenda of the next sitting on May 5, together with the amendments to the Law on Election of MPs," Kolundzija said.

The adoption of the bill and the amendments are some of the European Commission's conditions that Serbia needs to fulfil on its EU integration pathway.

According to the draft bill on the funding of political activities, that Tanjug had insight into, the parliamentary parties in Serbia will be able to count on 0.15 percent of funds from the state budget.
