“By arresting Mladic, Serbia has fulfilled a key international obligation, so I had expected that Brammertz's oral submission of the report to the UN Security Council on Monday would be positive,” said Ljajic.

Chairman of the National Council for cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Rasim Ljajic stated that by capturing Ratko Mladic Serbia has fulfilled a key international obligation, but that the arrest of remaining ICTY fugitive Goran Hadzic “will remove a major issue from the agenda”.

He told Tanjug on Monday evening in Smederevo (central Serbia), where he attended the establishment of a local board of his party (the Social Democratic Party of Serbia) that he had expected that ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz's oral report on Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY would be positive.

“By arresting Mladic, Serbia has fulfilled a key international obligation, so I had expected that Brammertz's oral submission of the report to the UN Security Council on Monday would be positive,” said Ljajic.
