As part of the Programme for encouraging direct investment, administered by SIEPA, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development gave €6.5 million to LEONI, i.e. €5,000 per each new employee.

In Serbia, LEONI currently employs 940 out of the planned 1,300 workers, while the total investment of this company so far has been around €7 million out of the planned €10 million. The main activity is the production of cables for the automotive industry, while the unit in Prokuplje will produce cables for BMW.
