At the opening of the South Korean car electronics maker Yura factory in Nis, Tadic underlined that it is necessary to constantly improve the overall business climate in order to attract new investors. Serbian President stated that only new investments can create new, quality jobs, which further enhances political and economic prospects for Serbia and its citizens.

Serbian President Boris Tadic stated Monday that only new investments can create new, quality jobs, which further enhances political and economic prospects for our country and its citizens.

At the opening of the South Korean car electronics maker Yura factory in Nis (southern Serbia), Tadic underlined that it is necessary to constantly improve the overall business climate in order to attract new investors.

“Such an approach of the government should provide Serbia's citizens with new prospects, as well as improve the standard of living,“ Tadic said.

Addressing the workers of Yura, Tadic said that by working hard, they will help create new jobs in Serbia, since the Yura management will spread the word about the high quality of their work, and the country which takes care of its investors.

Tadic underlined that Serbia's economy is making progress, and that its metal and automotive industries are developing. New prospects are being created, which is something that no one can deny, he added.

The factory in Nis will employ 1,500 people, for which the Yura Corporation received a total of EUR 10.5 million in non-returnable funds from the Serbian Ministry of Economy and Regional Development investment incentives program, or EUR 7,000 per new job.

The South Korean car electronics maker will invest a total of EUR 15 million.

The Yura Corporation produces electronic auto parts, cable installations and its components, but also spark plugs, coils and cables.
