The Eparchy has also reported the incident to EU Representative for Serb Cultural and Historical Heritage Dimitris Moushopoulos, requiring the urgent international reaction, because it is the protected facility and the area of the historical zone of Prizren.

The Eparchy of Raska and Prizren has reported to the Kosmet Police a serious damage on the medieval church of Holy Sunday in Prizren.

The Eparchy emphasizes that at issue is a temple from the 14th century, which had been damaged in the Albanian violence in March 2004, and from which the roof has been stolen on several occasions.

The new damage has emerged after an Albanian had commenced laying foundations for a new building, and in the process dug under the foundations of the church.

The Eparchy has also reported the incident to EU Representative for Serb Cultural and Historical Heritage Dimitris Moushopoulos, requiring the urgent international reaction, because it is the protected facility and the area of the historical zone of Prizren.

The temple of the Holy Sunday is located in the part of town that had been mostly populated by the Serbs, before the conflict in Kosmet. Now, most of the houses are ruined and swallowed by vegetation.
