Regional conference "Services, skills and capacity – challenges in building a modern public administration in Europe" will be held on 6-7 October, at the National Bank of Serbia, in Belgrade.
Regional conference "Services, skills and capacity – challenges in building a modern public administration in Europe" will be held on 6-7 October, at the National Bank of Serbia, in Belgrade.
The conference will be opened by Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Self-Government Milan Markovic, Swedish Ambassador to Serbia Krister Asp and Head of EU Delegation in Serbia Vincent Degert on 6 October at 10.00.
On the second day of the conference, 7 October, at 12.00, participants will be welcomed by Serbian President Boris Tadic and Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Institutional Relations and Administration Maroš Šefčovič, in the presence of the Minister Markovic.
On the same day, at 15.00, ministers from the region will sign a declaration on regional cooperation in modernising public administration, after which a press conference will be held, to be attended by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic.
The regional conference will bring together over 200 participants: ministers responsible for public administration in Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, FYRMacedonia, Albania and Serbia, representatives of EU institutions, representatives of government agencies, civil society, as well as domestic and foreign professional public.
Media representatives interested in covering the conference should submit accreditations by 6 October at 19.00 to email . The accreditation should contain the name, editorial title and ID number.
Accreditation will be issued at the National Bank of Serbia, Nemanja 17 on 6 October, from 9.15 to 9.50.
The conference is organised with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and the Swedish Institute of Public Administration.
