The 13th International Archaeological Film Festival will kick off at the National Museum in Belgrade on Monday evening and last by April 4 screening the total of 26 films and gathering 12 countries.
The 13th International Archaeological Film Festival will kick off at the National Museum in Belgrade on Monday evening and last by April 4 screening the total of 26 films and gathering 12 countries.
The venue will be opened by Serbian Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic and Italian Ambassador to Serbia Armando Varricchio. Director of the National Museum Tatjana Cvjeticanin will also welcome the visitors.
The 2012 guest of honor is Italy.
Director Alessandro Furlan will present his four 3D movies about ancient Rome.
Monday's programme will show 'Antique Rome', 'Nerone and Domus Aurea', while 'The House of Julius Polybius in Pompeii' and 'The Valley of Temples in Agrigento and Heraklea' will be displayed on Tuesday.
Apart from the Italian Cultural Institute, the realization of this year's festival was helped by the Goethe Institute, the Cervantes Institute, the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, the French Institute, the Cultural Centre of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Austrian Cultural Forum and the Embassy of Cyprus.
The program will also show films from Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia.
