The Serbian dinar will drop on Monday by 4 paras, thus setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 111,8981, which will be the Serbian currency's record low, although the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) sold EUR 20 million on Friday, NBS stated in a release.

The Friday exchange rate of RSD 111,8582 will remain valid during the weekend.
The central bank made daily interventions on the inter-bank foreign exchange market in the course of this week and sold EUR 130 million in order to prevent excessive daily oscillation of the exchange rate.
Including the Friday intervention, NBS sold EUR 698,5 million since the beginning of the year. On the monthly level, the dinar would drop against the euro by 0,5 percent on Saturday, while the drop on the annual level would total 11 percent.
The indicative exchange rate of the dinar against the U.S. dollar totalled RSD 84,4259 on Friday and was by 0,5 percent higher relative to its previous value. The dinar dropped against the dollar by 1,3 percent relative to the previous month and 20,5 percent as against last year.
