Three TV stations violate election silence

Serbian Broadcasting Agency (RRA) Sunday ordered cable operators to stop broadcasting the first program of Croatian Radio Television, Sarajevo television OBN and Serbian television Koperenikus 3 - World Plus in Serbia due to violation of election silence.
Serbian Broadcasting Agency (RRA) Sunday ordered cable operators to stop broadcasting the first program of Croatian Radio Television, Sarajevo television OBN and Serbian television Koperenikus 3 - World Plus in Serbia due to violation of election silence.
These television programs are interrupted in cable networks as they have broadcast contents which have violated the election silence, RRA Vice President Goran Karadzic told Tanjug.
He said that the TV stations will be able to resume broadcasting via cable operators at 8 pm, at the end of the pre-election silence. Karadzic also said that the RRA monitors what other TV stations are broadcasting too, and that in the event that they violate election silence, it will order their programs to be interrupted.
Presidential, parliamentary and local elections are being held in Serbia Sunday, and the election silence, in accordance with the law, ends at 8 pm.
