Iran has successfully tested upgraded version of its S-200 missile with similar capacities to the Russian S-300, the news network Press TV reported Thursday.

“We have developed the S-200 system and we tested it Thursday,” General Mohammad Hassan Mansourian stated.
Mansourian underscored that the details of Iran’s long-range missile defense system will be unveiled soon.

Radio Free Europe reiterated that the test came after Russia decided not to deliver its S-300 weaponry systems to Iran, as it falls under the UN sanctions.

S-300 is the earth-air missile system, with the range of 150 kilometers.
