Governing Czech coalition survived Tuesday a non-confidence vote in the parliament, after one of three ruling parties, after brief change of mind, decided to support the coalition.
One of the coalition partners, centre-oriented Public Affairs party, decided to support the coalition with the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) and conservative party TOP09 right before the vote.
"All coalition members are aware of the seriousness of the situation and agreed to support the current government," President Vaclav Klaus stated.
After meeting with the ruling parties, Klaus announced that all three sides have agreed on means of fight against corruption, which was one of the main reasons for the vote.
