Health authorities announced that a fresh case of the A/H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, has been registered in the southern town of Calarasi.

The patient is a three-year-old child who is in good condition. This is the first case of the virus this season.
During the pandemic between April and August 2010, Romania registered 6,999 cases of the virus and 122 deaths.
