Unemployment in Croatia continues to grow and reached 312,350 at the end of November.That is 7,871 (2.6 per cent) more than October, the daily Vecernji List writes.

Compared to the same month last year, the numbers grew by 29,414 (10.4 per cent).

Most of the new unemployed came from accommodation providers, like hotels, and food/beverages services (5,762 or 23.5 per cent), the retail and wholesale trade saw the next largest number of job losses (4,254 or 17.3 per cent), followed by the manufacturing industry (3,501 or 14.3 per cent), construction (2,585 or 10,5) and administrative and auxiliary services (1,291 or 5.3 per cent).

More people were hired than during the same month last year, with a 37.2 per cent increase.
