The main celebration of the 96th anniversary of the Battle of Kolubara will take place at 11.00 on 15 December with state and military honours at the memorial church of St Dimitrije in Lazarevac.

State Secretary of Labour and Social Policy Zoran Martinovic, representatives from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army General Staff, the municipality of Lazarevac, Austrian, Hungarian, Slovak and Czech embassies and several NGOs will lay wreaths.

The celebration will continue at the monument to the Serbian Warrior in the centre of Lazarevac.

The celebration is organised by the Serbian government’s Committee for cherishing the traditions of the Serbian liberation wars.
