This measure introduces the registration of new companies, including application for general tax registration and the VAT, excise and customs code, with a single public authority instead of a number of counters at several institutions, which in practice enables a significant save of time and money.

Montenegrin Government launched today its “one-stop shops” programme for company registration, with the view to promoting the business environment, by simplifying the administrative procedures.

This measure introduces the registration of new companies, including application for general tax registration and the VAT, excise and customs code, with a single public authority instead of a number of counters at several institutions, which in practice enables a significant save of time and money.

Through this measure, company registrations will be made in eight regional Tax Administration units, instead of only the Commercial Court in Podgorica, as was the previous practice.

These activities are expected to produce a positive effect on the overall business environment, economic growth and investments in Montenegro.
