The protests that are being organized all around the country will not block tourism, which this year will sign an historic record for Albania. In his last press conference from the Prime Minister’s Office, the head of the government focused his attention on tourism.

The protests that are being organized all around the country will not block tourism, which this year will sign an historic record for Albania. In his last press conference from the Prime Minister’s Office, the head of the government focused his attention on tourism.

Regardless of the situation created in the country, after the dragging of the counting process for Tirana, Prime Minister Sali Berisha was optimist that this will not influence tourism. He also commented the annulment of the visit of President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso in Tirana. Berisha said that he annulled his official visit, but not his visit as a tourist.

“I am convinced that it will be a true history of success, but do not forget that Barroso was not coming in Albania on holidays, but on an official visit, which has other rules. If there is a problem in CEC, this does not mean that there will be problems in tourism areas, where tourists can relax, only because some tires were burned; these are not strange things in a free country.

The surrounding of CEC is something uncommon, but protests happen everywhere. There is no country in the world where there are no protests. They are a testimony of a functioning democracy,” said Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

The head of the government declared that this tourism season in Albania will sign an historic record for foreign tourists. “It will be a great story of success for Albania, which climbed its steps very fast to reach its actual position, and to be declared the main destination in the planet. I make an appeal to use all our potentials in order to present Albanian tourism better than ever,” said Berisha.

The Prime Minister made an appeal to the local power to contribute in the normal progress of the tourism season. He also asked the citizens to contribute for a clean environment.
