If elections were held today, the ruling party VMRO-DPMNE would win the most votes i.e. 19,4%, while 15,1% of the citizens would vote for the opposition party SDSM. According to an opinion poll, VMRO-DPMNE at the early parliamentary polls would win 48 seats in the Parliament, while SDSM would win 37.

These are the results of a recent opinion poll carried out between May 26 and 28 amongst 1.111 respondents by the Institute for Democracy in the frameworks of the "My Elections 2011" project, which is being realized in cooperation with the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC) and the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM).

6,9% of those interviewed would vote for DUI, thus securing possible 16 seats in the Parliament, whereas 3,9% would support DPA in the elections, which means the party could secure 9 seats in the Parliament. 1,8% would vote for NDP and could be represented in the Parliament by three deputies. United for Macedonia with its 1,3% approval, New Democracy with 1% and VMRO-People's Party with 1,1% could gain two MP seats each. Having 0,8% support, LDP could count on being represented by one deputy in the Parliament. Dignity, Democratic Rightist Party and other smaller political parties would fail to secure mandates, according to the poll.

The Institute for Democracy survey shows that the number of those who are undecided is 47,1%. A majority of those who are decided (52,9%) will vote in the elections for VMRO-DPMNE (36,7), for SDSM 28,6% and for DUI 13,1%.

Furthermore, an opinion poll conducted by "Dimitrija Cupovski" Institute shows that 26,7% would vote for VMRO-DPMNE, 12,9% for SDSM, 8,5% for DUI, 3,9% for DPA, 3% for NDP, 2,3% for LDP, 1,4% for ND, 0,3% for United for Macedonia and 0,8% for VMRO-People's Party if the parliamentary elections were held tomorrow.

14,6% of those interviewed had no answer, while 25,1% said they wouldn't vote in the polls.

1.550 respondents were surveyed by telephone between May 27 and 29 in the six electoral constituencies in an attempt to measure the rating of political parties.

VMRO-DPMNE would win 58 seats in the Parliament, SDSM 29, DUI 15, DPA seven, NDP and LDP four each. Other parties might secure three MP seats, according to the poll.
