“In the end, as foreseen by the Electoral Code, CEC will be able to declare the result. This will need more time, maybe until the end of July. The first phase of this process might be concluded at the end of this week, where CEC might conclude the inspection of all complaints that have been addressed to it,” said Leonard Olli, spokesperson of CEC.
According to the spokesperson of the Central Election Commission, the political parties deposited 105 complaints in CEC, which are related to the May 8 electoral process; meanwhile, 58 complaints were consigned before this date.
“Compared to 2007, we had a limited number of complaints; in this case, we had 260 complaints in the post electoral period. Now we have a more limited number; 105 complaints,” said Olli.
Until now, CEC distributed the mandates for the mayors and the municipal councils of 25 local units. Meanwhile, they are still working for the result of other municipal units.
