"Kingdom of Alexander the Great" exhibition at the Louvre

The history of ancient Macedonia from the Mycenaean era in the Bronze Age up until late antiquity will be on display in the exhibition entitled “Ancient Macedonia: In the Kingdom of Alexander the Great” to be hosted at the Louvre Museum from Oct. 13, 2011 until Jan. 16, 2012.
The history of ancient Macedonia from the Mycenaean era in the Bronze Age up until late antiquity will be on display in the exhibition entitled “Ancient Macedonia: In the Kingdom of Alexander the Great” to be hosted at the Louvre Museum from Oct. 13, 2011 until Jan. 16, 2012.
The exhibition will include more than 600 artifacts and is the product of cooperation between Greek and French experts. Its main purpose is to introduce the archaeological wealth of northern Greece to the French and international visitors of one of the greatest museums in the world.
The artifacts to be exhibited are findings of archaeological excavations in the province of Macedonia in northern Greece over the past 30 years.
The exhibits will include artifacts that will be loaned by the Greek ministry of culture as well as Macedonian antiquities that belong to Louvre collections since the 19th century. In return, the Louvre will loan to the northern city of Thessaloniki a number of extraordinary masterpieces that belong to its collections, to be exhibited in the city’s five museums in 2012.

Macedonian was an cannot be greek because this land which calls macedonia was actually part of today republic of macedonia, this land was annexed from us aswell as bulgaria and albania taking macedonian land after the second balkan war in 1913, why is this never mentioned, greece has stolen maceonian land and now its history,where is the justice, wake up world political genocide is occurring and you are just sitting their watching, greece is the curse of europe, look how they leech of other countries, in regards, to their finaces, they are the most racist nation of the tdays world, bring justice to the macedonians that's all

what fiction the slavs of fyrom spout. the reason the western world treats the macedonians as greeks is because after much scholarship , that is the only proper conclusion. as for greece being a occupying power, in 1913 the turks controlled upper greece. durning this time the fyroms freely identified as bulgarians.

Most if not all repuatable Historians that are from both Non Greek and Fyromian backgroung, support the very simple notion that Ancient Macedonia was one of many Greek States. Other examples...Athens, Sparta,Thebes etc.. All without exception spoke Ancient Greek, worshiped the Ancient Greek Gods, participated in the Olympic games(which only Greeks were allowed...and yes this at the time was racist),admired and followed the teachings of Ancient Greek philosophers such as Sophocles and Aristostle.
Alexander the Great: Has a Greek name, his parents had Greek names his famous horse had a Greek name his friends, military men, associates etc..
The list goes on and it all just simply can't be a coinscidence!!!

The majority of todays FYROM was NEVER part of Ancient Macedonian land!! Get your facts right! Then again, none of you Skops have ever opened up a history book to know this but rather rely on fairy tales told by your family..no credibility what so ever; a true Macedonian would know this simple fact!! Furthermore, if "Macedonia" was annexed by others from the "Macedonian" people it would have to have been a nation to begin with..if what you say is true, please name us your prime minister/president in 1913 when this apparently happened..thats right you didnt have one because it never was a nation but rather a Greek kingdom, forever inhabited by Greeks; Bulgars or Slavs (FYROM majority ethnicity) didnt even exist in ancient times..wake up simpletons!!
