Wall Street protests could spread to Croatia on 15 October when the Facebook group Pokret 15.10 plans a peaceful march against the "union of politicians and big corporations" that trample citizen’s rights.
The group calls on Croatians to take to the streets at 6pm on that day as the rest of world also organizes.
"Under the pressures of financial power, our politicians work for the benefit of the minority without consideration for social, human and environmental costs," the group writes on its social network page.
The movement that started in New York City where some 700 protesters were arrested this past weekend as they called for "financial sanity" in face of what they see as corporate greed, has spread to other cities in America.
According to Croatian daily Jutarnji List report, it could soon be coming to Croatia.
