Macedonian Telecom, T-Mobile Macedonia, Kameni Most komunikacii, Sasa mine and Feni industry are the five most successful companies in 2010 in Macedonia.

The yearly publication 200 largest and most successful companies in Macedonia is prepared and published by Euro Business Center – Skopje.

According to the publication, launched Thursday, Okta AD Skopje, Makpetrol, EVN Macedonia, ELEM and Feni industry are the five largest companies, Ericsson telecommunications Macedonia, Panto Group, Cabletel, Kati-man Strumica and IMP Prilep are the five fastest growing companies while ELEM, EVN Macedonia, public enterprise Makedonski sumi, Makedonska post and Granit are ranked top five biggest employers.

200 largest companies realise 44.75% of total revenue, and the most successful ones realise 45% of net profit before taxation of all companies in the country.

Congratulating the companies which were ranked in 200 largest and most successful companies, Economy Minister Valjon Saracini pointed out that 2010 still had the symptoms of the global economic crisis, low investments, reduced credit activity and large uncertainty in business working, which was especially felt in the Macedonian real sector.

- Ministry of Economy will continue to give support through its strategic documents, programmes, measures and activities aimed at simplifying the running of business of our companies and to help their better positioning at world markets, Saracini said in his address.

He said that integrated access and implementation of new measures for improvement of competition based on knowledge, innovations, internationalisation, increased cooperation among the companies is necessary aimed at providing economic growth.

He underlined that the new government's four-year programme is complex and oriented towards economic development, creation of business climate and boosting economy through concrete initiatives and project with final goal - creating functional market economy and increase its competitiveness.
