Representatives of ten Swedish companies and a large number of representatives of BiH companies and government institutions gathered in Sarajevo today at the "Day of the Swedish trade in BiH.

As Swedish Ambassador to BiH Bosse Hedberg said to reporters, it has been announced that some 90 BiH companies and representatives of BiH authorities at all levels would participate.

“The aim of the gathering is to find a link for the joint operations of Swedish and BiH companies. We know that in both countries there is a highly trained personnel and in the spotlight of the companies that are present today will be wood and metal industry, energy and environment,” said Ambassador Hedberg.

Trade exchange between Sweden and Bosnia, however, is not satisfactory, warned the representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Sweden and Norway Slobodan Neskovic.

BiH export to Sweden is worth about 35 million KM, and Sweden in BiH about 45 million KM, which is insignificant, especially for Sweden, says Neskovic.

He stressed that Sweden was a country with the most multinational companies in the world relative to the population. Companies such as Ericsson, Volvo, Scania, IKEA and others have a huge turnover. On the other hand, in BiH there are indeed opportunities and traditions.

FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Erdal Trhulj prepared for this event a presentation of the current situation in the energy sector in BiH.
