The government of Albania (GoA) approved today the decision on providing financial assistance to three countries hit by natural disasters.

The government approved payment of 100 thousand USD financial assistance to Turkey to alleviate the situation in the aftermath of the recent earthquake that struck that country.

Likewise, the government approved payment of 100 thousand USD financial assistance to Pakistan following recent floods there.

The government also approved payment of 50 thousand USD financial assistance to the countries of the Horn of Africa: Somalia, Ethiopia and Djibouti in help of these poverty-stricken countries as a consequence of long drought.

Thus, Albania responds to the U.S. call for international solidarity in overcoming the humanitarian emergency situation in these countries.
