Serbian Police Director Milorad Veljovic told Tanjug that he is in constant contact with the Croatian police, who confirmed the arrest of several persons who are suspected of issuing forged personal documents.

The documents were issued to criminals of the two most dangerous Serbian underground groups, the Zemun Clan and drug traffickers headed by Darko Saric.

We are in constant contact and are waiting for the investigation in Croatia to be finished, which will then be continued in Serbia on its citizens suspected to have been involved in this case, Veljovic said on Saturday.

Serbia has far given to Croatian colleagues some of the information that has been important for their investigation, Veljovic said.

Croatian police have arrested six people and issued a warrant for a citizen of Serbia suspected of counterfeiting and trafficking in Croatian passports.

Some of these documents have ended up among members of Serbian and Montenegrin underground.
