Since restoring independence, Montenegro has maintained stability and achieved remarkable progress in all fields, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao said at a meeting with Prime Minister Igor Lukšić in Warsaw on Thursday. He also commended Montenegro’s EU integration efforts, expressing belief that they will continue in the future.

Several bilateral agreements which Montenegro and China have already signed, as well as intensive cooperation at all level, is a good foundation for boosting economic cooperation, the two heads of governments noted.

By the same token, PM Jiabao invited Chinese investors to invest in Montenegro and establish closer ties with Montenegrin business people, in particular in the areas of infrastructure, tourism, marine transport and use of the Port of Bar’s capacities.

The two officials expressed satisfaction with the two countries' cooperation in defence and foreign affairs, and agreed to continue intensive cooperation to the both countries' benefit.
