Serbia's Ambassador in Podgorica Zoran Lutovac has returned to Montenegro, after he was withdrawn from the position in mid-January because of the decision by Montenegro's government to establish diplomatic relations with Kosovo, Tanjug learned at the Serbian Embassy in Podgorica on Tuesday evening.
Following the decision of the Montenegrin government to establish diplomatic relations with Kosovo, Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic invited Ambassador Lutovac to return to Belgrade for consultations.
On the occasion, the Serbian foreign minister also filed a note of protest with Montenegro's Ambassador to Belgrade Igor Jovovic, but he was not denied hospitality.
When Montenegro recognized the illegal and unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija in October 2008, Anka Vojvodic, who was Montenegro's ambassador at the time, was denied hospitality and she returned to Podgorica.
