Director of the “Zastava vehicles” group Zoran Radojevic has stated the vehicle with Zastava 10 platform has been equipped with an electric motor and batteries, obtained in China.
The new model will be able to go 120 km/h and cover 100 km with one charge, while the mother has the power of 20 kW. The expenses of driving, according to current electricity prices, are minimal, which means that the trip from Kragujevac to Belgrade would cost less then 100 dinars, i.e. one euro, explained Radojevic.
The vehicle is yet to be tested in the public traffic, and Radojevic announces that also planned is the construction of a hybrid bus. Besides that, the local line buses should switch from diesel to liquid or natural gas.
