Ambassador Mary Warlick visited Kragujevac

On May 18 Ambassador Mary Warlick paid her first visit to the city of Kragujevac. She met with Mayor Veroljub Stevanovic, with whom she discussed Kragujevac’s political and economic situation and the opportunities for continued US cooperation with the municipality.

On May 18 Ambassador Mary Warlick paid her first visit to the city of Kragujevac. She met with Mayor Veroljub Stevanovic, with whom she discussed Kragujevac’s political and economic situation and the opportunities for continued US cooperation with the municipality.

Ambassador Warlick visited the city’s public library and the American Corner within the library. At the American Corner, Ambassador Warlick held a roundtable with local volunteers and recent participants from exchange programs in the United States.

She also had the opportunity to meet with local U.S. citizens resident in Kragujevac during a voter registration outreach event conducted by the Embassy’s consular section.

Ambassador Warlick met with Kragujevac’s Chamber of Commerce’s Agency for Investment Promotion and area businessmen to discuss business promotion and development.

Ambassador Warlick also toured the Fiat Automobiles Serbia facility and the Technical Overhaul Institute of Kragujevac (TRZK), which performs maintenance and disassembly of ammunition.

The U.S. Embassy has longstanding good relations with the city of Kragujevac and the Ambassador’s visit served to renew those ties and to discuss further opportunities for partnership and cooperation.
