Twelve Serbian food companies, with the support from the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) will exhibit at the national stand of Serbia on the world's largest food fair SIAL, which begins on 17 October in Paris.

Head of the export promotion at SIEPA Tatjana Radovanov told Beta news agency that the previous SIAL brought 1,500 contacts and generated exports worth €9 million, adding that this year SIEPA expects even better results.
The Serbian companies will exhibit products such as spices, different varieties of honey, pepper chutney (ayvar), jam, frozen fruits and vegetables, alcoholic and soft drinks and confectionery, said Radovanov.
This is the fourth time that SIEPA is organising participation of Serbian companies in the food show in Paris.
She said that the Serbian companies thanks to appearance at SIAL achieve export deals worth about €30 million during the past four years.
SIEPA organises participation at fairs round the world, mostly in Europe - Germany, France and Italy, but this year we also started with presentations on new markets such as Belarus, Russia and Japan, said Radovanov.
SIAL Paris is the largest food exhibition in the world which is held every two years and is visited by more than 150,000 people from over 180 countries.
From17 to 21 October, 5,500 companies from 101 countries will participate in SIAL.
