The upcoming 139th soccer derby between Belgrade's Red Star and Partizan will take place in the presence of fans on Oct. 23, according to a decision made by the representatives of both clubs, the Union of Superleague Clubs and police officials, at a meeting in Belgrade.

The meeting lasted for over three hours and afterwards none of the participants wished to give a statement to the reporters waiting outside the Palace of Serbia.

Partizan President Dragan Djuric earlier said his club would only play the derby in an empty stadium.

The two soccer clubs will hold a joint news conference in Belgrade on Oct. 22, on the occasion of the 139th "never-ending" derby.
