Serbs in Macedonia as well as Macedonians in Serbia are a factor of confirmation of traditionally good relations and strong ties between the two countries, Dacic underlined.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said late yesterday in Kuceviste that Serbia as a mother country has not only a constitutional obligation, but also a moral one to take care of its people living abroad.

Dacic, who is on visit to Macedonia, attended the celebration of Saint Sava day in Kuceviste and wished a happy holiday to Serbs in Macedonia.

Serbs in Macedonia as well as Macedonians in Serbia are a factor of confirmation of traditionally good relations and strong ties between the two countries, Dacic underlined.

In an effort to continue to foster good neighbouring relations, he proposed removing the administrative barrier for movement of people across the border crossings, which means crossing the border with an identity card and opening more border crossings.

This and similar moves would be very important for the entire region, for all citizens and their cultural, educational and economic activities, the First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out.

Dacic will meet today with Macedonian Minister of the Interior Gordana Jankuloska and then he will visit the Centre of culture and information of Serbs in Macedonia – SPONA.
