For the second day in a row, some hundred Serbs have blocked today for half an hour a section of highway Mitrovica - Leposavic in village Rudare, near Zvecan, in northern Kosovo.
Private entrepreneurs from northern Kosovo protest in this way because of the attempt of the so-called state of Kosovo to impose the customs and tax control. Slavisa Stanic, Secretary General of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the Serbs do not want to pay customs duty to the so-called state of Kosovo.
Several days ago, the Kosovo police directed entrepreneurs to the customs terminal in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica and forced them to pay the levies to the Kosovo Customs.
A protest rally is scheduled by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce in Zubin Potok for Friday, during which demands will be sent to members of EULEX, UNMIK and the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija.
