About a thousand people who gathered in Zubin Potok on Friday sent out a message that they would not pay taxes to the so-called state of Kosovo.

Addressing the representatives of the international community and Kosovo institutions, they said they will not yield to their demands, but pointed out they agree to pay taxes to the state of Serbia.

The rallied people underlined that the state of Serbia should be present in this region as much as possible.

A message was also sent from the rally that the state of Serbia should be very cautious in respect of the forthcoming talks between Belgrade and Pristina, since those would not be just mere talks, but rather negotiations for the survival of Serbs in that region.

The protest was kept under the watchful eye of the Kosovo Police Service (KPS), EULEX and KFOR.
