Young violinist Vanessa-Mae, who is due to give a concert at the Belgrade arena on February 27, will be accompanied by a ten-member band and Serbian string ensemble Metamorphosis, headed by violist Sasa Markovic, the Belgrade Arena announced on Wednesday.

Metamorphosis was formed in 2005 and it is one of its kind in Serbia when it comes to combining various genres and forms, in the style representative of Vanessa-Mae's performances.

The ensemble has already earned enviable reputation: they have performed with Goran Bregovic, participated at festivals worldwide and played at famous concert halls, such as the Toulouse Theatre in France, Essen Philharmonic in Germany, New York's Lincoln Centre and the Sydney Opera House.

Mae is a charismatic young British musician who redefined musical borders by her first pop-style album 'The Violin Player', which was released when she was only 16, thus introducing a fresh musical expression that combines classical violin with sounds of pop, jazz and techno.
