The average net salaries and wages paid in Serbia in January 2011 totaled RSD 34.009 (EUR 1=RSD 103.38), which is a 14.1 percent decrease in nominal terms and 15.3 percent decrease in real terms compared to December 2010, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia stated Friday.

The average net salaries and wages paid in January 2011 compared January 2010, increased by 13.6 percent in nominal terms and by 2.2 percent in real terms.

The average gross salaries and wages paid in Serbia in January 2011 amounted to RSD 47.382, which is a decrease of 13.8 percent in nominal terms and a 15 percent decrease in real terms compared to December 2010.

The average gross salaries and wages paid in January 2011 compared to January 2010, increased by 13.8 percent in nominal terms and by 2.3 percent in real terms, the statement reads.
