Serbia and Brunei have established official diplomatic relations today during the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic to this country in Southeast Asia.

Serbia and Brunei have established official diplomatic relations today during the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic to this country in Southeast Asia.

Jeremic, who met with Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah and Foreign Minister Mohamed Bolkiah, told Fonet news agency that the topics of the meetings were economic cooperation and investments in the Serbian economy.

Brunei is a very rich country that invests around the world, which is why we discussed the possibilities of investing in Serbia’s economy, the Minister said.

The Minister invited his collocutors to come to Belgrade to see investment opportunities for themselves.

Jeremic announced that Brunei Foreign Minister Mohamed Bolkiah will visit Belgrade in September to attend the conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The Sultan of Brunei also accepted the invitation to come to Belgrade so a royal visit at the highest level can be expected in the upcoming period.
