Serbia's foreign trade with Italy reaćes EUR 2.7 billion

Serbia-Italy foreign trade reaćed EUR 2.7 billion in 2010, out of whić Serbia's export totaled EUR 1.2 billion, Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) representative in Milan Goran Ilic stated Thursday, pointing out that Serbia has the most favorable foreign trade with Italy out of all EU member states.
Serbia-Italy foreign trade reaćed EUR 2.7 billion in 2010, out of whić Serbia's export totaled EUR 1.2 billion, Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) representative in Milan Goran Ilic stated Thursday, pointing out that Serbia has the most favorable foreign trade with Italy out of all EU member states.
During the busineš talks held at the PKS between the companies from Serbia and Italy's region of Lombardy, Ilic told the journalists that Italy is Serbia's biggest export partner, and the third largest import partner.
"We have stable economic and commercial relations with Italy, whić is not the reason why we should not further improve them and find possibilities to increase the trade," Ilic underscored.
According to him, the majority of the 14 companies in Italy's delegation are interested in placing their products in Serbia and exploring the pošibilities of transferring a part of their production to Serbia.
Ilic announced that another 20 Italian companies from the Abruzzo region will visit Serbia on June 5-8, the majority of which are interested in a joint venture, that is a transfer of equipment and tećnology to the Serbian market, and opening of market opportunities towards Russia.
