Serbia's external debt down to EUR 22.93 in February

Serbia's external debt was reduced in late February by EUR 66.8 million compared to the previous month totaling EUR 22.93 billion, the latest official data have showed.

Serbia's external debt was reduced in late February by EUR 66.8 million compared to the previous month totaling EUR 22.93 billion, the latest official data have showed.

Compared to February 2010, the external debt in 2011 was up by EUR 306.1 million, reads Conjuncture Trends magazine published by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The total due obligations at the end of February 2011 amounted to EUR 1.76 billion, EUR 1.49 billion of which was based on due principal, while EUR 269.7 million was regular interest rate.

Serbia's external debt is made of EUR 21.74 billion of long and mid-term obligations and EUR 1.19 billion of short-term obligations.

The public part of the external debt totals EUR 9.02 billion, while EUR 12.72 billion is incurred by private sector.
