The Dutch parliament did not accept a proposal by head of the Foreign Affairs Committee Henk Jan Ormel to begin ratifying the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the EU and Serbia.
Unfortunately, the majority did not accept the proposal, Ormel told Tanjug after the committee meeting where the proposal was put forth.
The SAA has been ratified by 18 out of the total of 27 EU countries.
The Netherlands demanded Serbia's full cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and Ratko Mladic's arrest in order to ratify the SAA and allow Serbia to continue its EU integration.
